Forest & Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil | Review*

forest and shore 3.jpg

As two people whose hair is always in need of a little love, we’re always scouting for a new product which promises to help improve the condition of our hair…and actually do so. Forest & Shore recently got in touch with us and asked if we’d like to try out their all natural Hallelujah Hair Oil and we couldn’t decline that! We were intrigued as to whether the product really would make us say “hallelujah” and improve the condition of our hair, so we put it to the test for a few weeks to find out!

1 Step Closer to Being a Mermaid – Barry M Under The Sea Collection Review | Rachel

barry m under the sea nail varnish

There’s something about having my nails painted that just makes me feel so much more happy and confident about myself. I don’t paint my nails all the time and I rarely get them done properly, but regardless I still have an overgrowing collection of nail polishes; I’m obsessed! About 90% of my nail varnish collection are Barry M products. I’ve been using them for as long as I remember and they have such a diverse range of colours and styles, from matte polishes to shimmery holographic colours, I will never have enough Barry M nail varnishes! Recently they launched a whole new range full of holographic products which I was so excited for. I know the whole holographic trend has kind of died down a little bit now and they probably should’ve done it a few months ago, but I am still living for it! Being nail polish obsessed, the products I was most excited for were their Under The Sea holographic nail varnish collection and I couldn’t stop myself from trying them out.

The Body Shop Matte Clay Foundation Review | Rachel

the body shop matte clay foundation 4

Recently I have been having a tough time when it comes to my makeup. My foundation rubs off around my nose and my cheeks and it just makes my makeup look messy and leaves me feeling really self conscious. The whole purpose of makeup is to make you feel good about yourself right? When in fact it was just making me feel even worse. I desperately took to Twitter to ask for recommendations and I was told the Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation by The Body Shop could save me!

Lush Naked Lip Scrubs | Godsend or Gimmick?

Lush naked lip scrubs.jpg

Over the past year or so Lush have been trying even harder to make their products ethical and safer for the environment. One thing they have been doing to ensure this is changing up their usual products and creating ‘naked’ versions with no packaging at all. Over Christmas (2017) they released a naked version of one of our favourite products, lip scrubs and at first we weren’t too sure if we liked the idea. We’re huge fans of the potted lip scrubs so we didn’t know how the naked ones would work and if they’d be worth the money. After the Lush boxing day sales hit, we went into a store to see what bits they had left and there were plenty of naked lip scrubs, it must have been a sign! We decided to try them out and see if the whole ‘naked’ thing is a godsend, or just a gimmick! We’re well aware that these are not currently being sold, however, we’re hoping that Lush will bring them back sometime soon.

Lush The Birth of Venus Jelly Face Mask | Review

A few weeks back, Lush released an exciting new range of products, consisting of everything from new hot oil hair treatments, to body sprays and even the new jelly bombs, which have got everyone talking! Amongst the new products are jelly face masks, which have to be our favourite products from Lush in a long time. When we first heard of them we thought of them as a new gimmick product. The exact thoughts that came into our heads were “well, seems like Lush have run out of ideas!”. Despite this, we were really intrigued by the new face masks and it wasn’t until we actually picked one up that we realised our thoughts were so wrong!

We never like to spend too much on a body spray since they are a beauty product we use so frequently. Luckily for us, Superdrug have a whole range of body mists which are affordable, cruelty free and perfect for a quick freshen up!

AA Skincare – Shampoo Bars Review*

A few months ago we set ourselves the challenge of finding some more cruelty free beauty brands online. We love looking around to find independent and small brands and as we’ve previously mentioned, Twitter is great for doing so. AA Skincare are a brand that we’ve been following for a while on Twitter but never got round to looking at properly. To cut a long story short, we eventually got into contact with AA and they kindly sent us two shampoo bars of our choice! We’ve always been fans of the ever so popular Lush shampoo bars and couldn’t wait to see how these ones compared.
