So the colder months are here and along with those comes the perfect opportunity to wear berry tones and dark colours on your lips! We’re still loving a matte lip more than anything, so today we’ve managed to pick our 6 favourite matte lip products which are perfect for the next few months. Each of these lip products are priced under £5 so they’re super affordable too, even better right?!
Barry M Matte Lip Paints in ‘Heartbreaker’ and ‘Obsessed’ – £4.99 each
Barry M recently released a new range of matte lipsticks so we got our hands on some as quick as we could! Our favourite shades from the range are Heartbreaker and Obsessed as they are both beautiful dark pink shades which are perfect for autumn. Heartbreaker is a slightly darker pink/berry tone which is perfect for a bolder lip. On the other hand, Obsessed is a slightly lighter nude/pink tone. The great thing about this shade is that we imagine it would be perfect for all year round! Like all Barry M lipsticks, they apply easily and smoothly and have a soft velvety finish.
Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lacquer in ‘Velvet Rebel’ – £3
Velvet Rebel is the perfect winter shade. It’s quite a dark berry shade and is really smooth and velvety. We’re big fans of matte lipsticks but sometimes they can just dry a bit too matte! The velvet lacquers by Makeup Revolution are perfect for us, since they apply so evenly and dry with a velvet finish.
Collection Velvet Kiss Lip Cream in ‘Mulberry’ – £2.99
Out of all the products in this post the Velvet Kiss lipstick is the most moisturising. It’s a beautiful pink toned berry colour, similar to Velvet Rebel. It’s perfect for the colder months as it isn’t ultra matte, meaning that if you have dry lips this won’t show it! The only issue we’ve had with Collection’s Velvet Kiss range is that they don’t last very long, but for £2.99 it doesn’t hurt to go buy another one!
MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers in ‘Kooky’ and ‘Firecracker’ – £3
The MUA velvet lip lacquers have always been our go to liquid lipsticks. They’re really affordable, come in a tonne of different shades and are easy to apply. Obviously as they are a more budget lip product they aren’t as great as some liquid lipsticks out there. However, they apply evenly and stay on well so you can’t go wrong! When it comes to darker colours such as Firecracker, it may be best to line your lips first as we have found that the colour can bleed a little. That being said, these shades are so perfect for both autumn and winter! Who doesn’t love a nice dark red or plum lip product?!
So there you have it, these are the matte lip products that we’re loving for the colder months! What lip products are you loving at the moment?
