Lush Full of Grace Serum Bar* | Review

Looking after your skin is so important and we don’t think there’s any better way to treat our skin than to use something from Lush’s skincare range. We were recently browsing through some skincare products at our local Lush store when we were shown the Full of Grace serum bar by Guy. He told us all of the benefits of the product and expressed how much he adored it. He then gave us one each to try for ourselves! You may have seen us mention this in our first YouTube video and we thought it would be best to put a full review up to let you guys know what we think of it!

The Full of Grace serum retails at £8.25 for a 25g solid bar. We admit, the first thing we notice about a product is the scent and luckily the serum bar has a fairly pleasant smell (similar to the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser) of lavender and rose. It’s quite a subtle scent at first, although once on the skin it smells slightly different and sadly we aren’t too sure if we like it. But a product isn’t always about it’s scent and there are a lot of great things about this one!

To use the bar you just glide it over your skin and it melts really easily! This does make it quite difficult to use though as it can get quite slippery and it often feels like it is going to melt everywhere. This means it is important to make sure that you store it in a cool place to avoid this. Despite this, it has a really moisturising effect on the skin and makes if feels really hydrated.

The serum bar has lots of benefits, one being that it conditions and protects the skin due to it containing portobello mushrooms! It also contains rose petal infusion to tone and soothe the skin. After using Full of Grace for a number of weeks, we have also noticed that our skin feels moisturised and soft and any dry bits are now gone. This means it is a lot easier to apply makeup, as it doesn’t stick to any dry flakes of skin!

The one thing that let us down a bit with this product is that your face feels quite greasy after you apply. The way we work around this is by only using it in the night so it has time to sink into the skin. After using it you wake up with skin that feels soft and healthy!

We aren’t too sure if we would buy this product ourselves, mostly because of the price ( just as we’re trying to save as much money as we possibly can!!), but we were really happy with the effect that Full of Grace, along with other Lush skincare products, have had on our skin. If we notice a big difference to our skin after we run out of the serum bars, it may be something that we would consider!

  1. I had a smell of this whilst I was in Lush this week and honestly, all I could smell was mushrooms… Maybe I picked up a dodgy one haha!
I am interested in trying this though as the only Lush skincare I’ve used are the facemasks and Ultrabland cleanser. P.S. Gorgeous photos! x
