VALENTINE’S DAY WARDROBE| 2015

blog-post

So Valentines Day is tomorrow and if any of you have plans and are panicking about what to wear, you aren’t the only one! Today we took some time to do our first outfit post for the blog and here are both of our day and evening outfits for Valentines Day! The majority of these items were bought on recent shopping trips so should still be in stores!

Lauren, Outfit 1 : Daytime

I love a simple, comfy outfit especially if I’m out and about for the day. If I’m not wearing my sports stuff to Uni you’ll usually find me wearing jeans and some form of comfy trainer! I have a huge trainer/boot collection and these Nike Pegasus are my newest pair, they are super comfy so I’ve been wearing them non-stop! Jamie Jeans are my go to jeans, I own around 4 pairs of these now, I love the fact that they are cropped, tight fitting and have a high waist. Also, this tee was an absolute bargain from Primark at £3 you can’t go wrong really! I paired this outfit with my favourite leather jacket from Forever 21, again it’s comfy which is what I want for a typical ‘day’ outfit, nice and simple.

Rachel, Outfit 1 : Daytime

I chose a pretty casual look for my daytime outfit as you can’t go wrong with some comfy clothes! Most of my daily outfits include jeans and a top with a pair of Vans or Doc Martens. I also love Topshop jeans and now they’re the only jeans I wear as they fit perfectly! This cropped tee was from Forever 21 which is my absolute favourite clothes shop as everything is so cheap and looks amazing! I completed this look with this coat from New Look as it’s comfy and warm and I love the style of it, I wear it most days!

Lauren, Outfit 2 : Evening

My evening outfit is pretty simple too! I spent ages looking for a ‘leather’ skirt and finally found one in the exact style I wanted in Forever 21. My top is also from Forever 21 and was a bargain at £4.50 I decided to buy it in black and baby blue too as I loved the style so much. I’ve been wanting a top that’s this sort of style for ages, but they’re always cropped so they show the majority of my belly(Not a fan of that!!!). Once again I teamed it with my jacket from Forever 21, as you can tell I’m a huge fan of this store I could spend hours looking around at every piece of clothing! My Dr Martens are my go to shoes when I’m wearing skirts or dresses as they’re so comfy and I love the look they give an outfit, I’d choose boots over heels any day!!!

Rachel, Outfit 2 : Evening

If I’m going to an event I’ll always wear a skirt or a dress as they look formal but are so comfortable! I recently bought this velvet skater skirt from Forever 21 in aubergine and loved it so much I then bought it in red! You can’t go wrong with a skater dress or skirt as I think they can be worn for any occasion whether it be a formal event or just a day out. I paired this with a long sleeved black mock neck top as it is just simple and not too ‘in your face’ really! I’m also wearing my cherry red Docs as I’m not really a heels type of girl and I personally think they look quite smart. I added a faux leather biker jacket as I love the kind of punk/grunge look it adds to the outfit. I love the simplicity of the red and black bold colours in this outfit and of course I finished it with some red lipstick to match! It’s valentine’s day, of course you need to wear a little red!
